Habitable Cavities main goal is to change the impression of living in an urban fabric. It started with a series of experimentation involving fibrous textures. The idea is to mimic the organic living of spiders, where living spaces are reinforced by varying thicknesses of fibers. This analogy was translated into living cavities that extend over 23 stories. The wall thicknesses of the cavities start to act as shear walls that gets carved out to house the necessary household furniture. The thin fibrous skin allow varying densities bringing different apertures to the different living units.
